On August 4 2020, the Beirut port was hit by one of the biggest explosions in history. The magnitude of the blast spread across the country destroying the capital, our home. In the aftermath, the thriving cultural and creative scene is threatened. With an ongoing pandemic and a tightening economy, creative outlets in Beirut struggle to survive and Factory People is no exception. That is why we aim to rebuild our spaces to continue fostering the creative scene.FUNDRAISER RESULTS
Factory People has been operating on the ground since 2005 and has grown into an industry leader creating cultural and legacy projects. This growth was achieved with no government support or with heavy bank loans, and our company was profitable and in zero debt. Our driving force is building positive communities through arts and culture.OUR STORY
A cultural landmark in the country and a platform for talent, accomplished and emerging, the fundraiser features a series of weekly streams by Factory People’s extended family of artists.
We have always put Lebanon in the most positive light, and strived to tell an inspiring story. Consistently catering to the cultural scene, the fundraiser goes hand in hand with an Artist Residency Program in which The Grand Factory will transform into a creative space for a selection of filmmakers, designers and music producers. The Program serves as a foundation that helps young creatives in Lebanon meet, collaborate and exhibit their work to a broader audience.APPLY NOW
